Christine Jellis, MD, PhD, MBA is a Staff Cardiologist who specializes in multimodality cardiac imaging in the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute at Cleveland Clinic. She sees patients at Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus.
Dr. Jellis is Vice Chair of Operations for the Heart, Vascular and Thoracic Institute, along with Director of Physician Alignment at Cleveland Clinic. She is Associate Professor of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University and serves as the Professional Advancement Council representative on the Cleveland Clinic Enterprise Board of Governors.

Education and Training: A native of Australia, Dr. Jellis earned her medical degree from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. She undertook her internship, residency and general cardiology fellowship at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne, Victoria, followed by a doctorate in cardiac imaging at The University of Queensland, Brisbane, Queensland. From 2013 to 2015, Dr. Jellis was a fellow in advanced cardiac imaging at Cleveland Clinic and joined the Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute staff in July 2015. She graduated with her Executive MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in 2024.
Publications and Research: Dr. Jellis has published more than 80 scientific papers in cardiology and cardiac imaging peer-reviewed journals and is a regular presenter at national and international medical conferences. Her primary research interests are in: valvular heart disease, cardiac sarcoidosis, pericardial disease, diseases of the thoracic aorta, radiation associated heart disease, diastolic dysfunction and right heart dysfunction in the setting of pulmonary hypertension.

Dr. Jellis is in only one day a week, and her calendar fills quickly. I could not get in in May or June, but with the help of her staff, got July 1. A follow-up visit for a test on Aug 19 was easily scheduled in person.

Dr Jellis is incredible. Not just my husband's and my opinion. Anyone you mention her to within cardiology- radiology, ekg, echo techs, stress tests, monitor application and her peers- ALL SAY THEY LOVE HER! I come from south of Pittsburgh for my cardiology care. I strongly feel that if Dr Dan Culver had not referred me to her care, I would not b alive today to enjoy my husband of 36 plus years and my two granddaughters.

I scheduled 6 months in advance. I had a family 99th (birthday out of town) come up 2 1/2 months before my appt and there were NO openings to re-schedule and no cancellations. It is the new norm everywhere - I know. I fear you will promote Dr Jellis and her availability for patients will be worse. This has happened to me w other Cleveland Clinic Drs.

Dr. Jellis was very nice, professional, incredibly smart, experienced and a great listener. I was impressed with her command of the issues having just read my information as provided from a different doctor's office. She gave a lot of great insight and shared her intuition and holistic thoughts about my situation. She offered a great plan and perspective and also tried to relate to my personal circumstances. She ordered some tests that were vital to getting the right information we needed to get a clear picture of my case. I felt very confident in her assessment and her guidance. We came for a second opinion and she offered a whole next level of insight and clarity. I feel very lucky to have her on my team there.
